Toshiba & NEC Phone Systems for Small Businesses

Why Toshiba and NEC?

When buying a new business telephone system, it’s absolutely critical to go with a major name brand.  Would you spend $3,000 on a new big screen TV from a company you never heard of?  How about $25,000 on a new car from a no name company?  Of course you wouldn’t and you shouldn’t risk your business on a phone system from a no name brand you’ve never heard of either and here’s why…

Choices

Major brands of telephone systems, like Toshiba and NEC, have rigorous screening processes for dealers. It takes an enormous commitment of time and resources to become an authorized dealer, so you know you’ll be buying from a reputable telephone company. There are also many dealers in every state. NEC has over 50 dealers serving the NY and NJ area alone. This assures you competitive pricing, fast service, and a host of options. This is especially important today when even strong companies are going out of business. You want to make sure that you will always be able to get parts and service for your telephone system, 5, 10, even 15 years down the road. Teleco has been in business since 1978.  Teleco is family owned and operated with 2 generations of telecommunications expertise.

No name manufacturers of phone systems will sell to anyone including alarm companies, electricians and general contractors. You won’t get the experience and know how that comes from a company that specializes in telephone systems. Teleco doesn’t sell alarms systems, we specialize in telephone systems and telecom services.

Small manufactures even offer protected territories as an incentive to potential dealers. That means that your dealer might be the only one that can service your telephone system for 50 or 100 miles. If you have any problems with your dealer you might find your self with a system that can’t be serviced or service that is extremely expensive. At Teleco, we get calls every day asking if we can help with no name brand systems that don’t work because the original dealer is too expensive or non responsive, but we only work on Toshiba and NEC systems, so we have to inform those customers that they must try and search for someone that can work on their off brand system. Often, they are forced to replace a telephone system they bought only a few years ago because they can’t get parts or service. That will never happen with NEC or Toshiba business telephone systems.

Longevity

Major brands, like Toshiba and NEC, sell hundreds of telephone systems a week. This allows them to support systems for many, many years.  Major brands make new parts for discontinued telephone systems for 5 to 7 years. This means you will always be able to get parts in the future.  Remember, a telephone system should last at least 10 years, so you need to be sure you will be able to get support for a long time.  Teleco has many customers in New York and New Jersey with telephone systems that are over 20 years old.   We get calls every day from people that spent thousands of dollars on a no name phone system just a few years or even months ago and are so unhappy that they have to go out and buy all over again.
